Imbodogom is the duo of Alexander Tucker and Daniel Beban. This is their second album following ‘The Metallic Year’ and Tucker’s solo album ‘Dorwytch’.
‘And They Turned Not When They Went’ is released on LP only, housed in a full-colour jacket with insert and free MP3 download coupon.
Much of the album was again recorded at the BBC’s historic Bush House (home of the BBC World Service) with the duo also recording in and outside of a historic light house at Dungeness in Kent.
“Often lovely, occasionally dark and foreboding, ‘The Metallic Year’ seems to encapsulate the tenor of post-terror times, a thread of worry running through even the most serene landscapes” – Dusted; “The duo edit tape loops, fragmented songcraft, sci-fi tones and eldritch atmosphere into a collage fit to soundtrack Doctor Who’s nightmares” – Mojo; “The kind of creaky spookhouse disquiet that whistles and thumps like a dark cabin on a stormy night; bilgey, sylvan drones overlaid with the occasional maniacbehind- the-door moan” – Pitchfork
